6 days till my year in spain starts!

i just got home from my month at camp (very fun and a great practice run for being away from home) and my departure is right around the corner. (eek!) i leave in 6 days--haven't started packing yet (still doing laundry and recovering from camp). last night was my last night at the cabin for a year and tonight was the last night at Alki Beach. (the saying bye to seattle process is just starting. so far it's locations, restaurants and people.) found out a little sobre mi familia en Espana: i will have an 8 year old host sister named Carla and a host mother Anna as well as a dog. i'm definitely realizing just how much i'm going to miss next year--i just spent a month making new friends and now i won't see them for nine months--but i think it's good because it means i'm leaving home with a bunch of new, fond memories and feeling like there are great things/people waiting for me when i get back next year.
